Atlantic Yards hearing held

The Appellate Court held a hearing for 26
neighborhood and civic groups on Wednesday who say Forest City Ratner and the
state’s Empire State Development Corporation are misusing eminent domain for the Atlantic Yards project. The
plaintiffs were positive about the day’s results, saying the panel of five judges was skeptical of Forest City and the ESDC’s argument that the project’s footprint
was “blighted,” and thus met the requirements for eminent domain.
