Billionaire’s trust pays $9.3M for UES co-op

A trust in the name of hedge fund investor Israel Englander, ranked by Forbes
as one of America’s
richest men, bought a cooperative apartment at 1000 Park Avenue at 84th Street, for $9.3 million. The trust, in Englander’s name, bought the unit from Michael Steinberg and his
wife Suzanne on September 4, according to property records posted today. Englander, who runs the Manhattan-based hedge fund Millennium Partners, was
ranked the 262nd richest American by Forbes this year, with a net worth of $1.8
billion.
