The New York Sun’s recent demise leaves 9,200 square feet of office space vacant. The Sun occupied the entire second floor and two-thirds of the fourth floor at the landmarked 105 Chambers Street. The space, located in the 150-year-old, cast-iron Cary Building, was featured in the movie “The Devil Wears Prada.” Bill Punch, manager of Building Owner Eighth Avenue Associates, said the Sun planned to continue to use the space through the end of the year. While the paper’s lease has several years left on it, he said he would work with the publisher to find a new tenant.
