Brooklyn Council member David Yassky is pushing for the passage of the Bikes in Buildings Bill, which would require commercial landlords to allow tenants to bring bicycles indoors during the workday. The Department of City Planning said the lack of secure indoor bike parking is the number one deterrent keeping commuters from biking to the office. The bill already has support from more than 30 council members.
