While the revised timetable for the reconstruction of the World Trade Center released by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey restored confidence in the project for some, others remain skeptical. They note that earlier predictions for the project — including a 2009 completion date estimated four years ago — have been inaccurate. The agency’s executive director, Christopher Ward, noted that the new data, anticipating completion for all elements of the site between 2010 and 2013, was more of a confident projection than a guarantee.
