Forest Hills residents push zoning

Residents of Forest Hills in Queens have been lobbying for zoning changes in the
area to protect the community from overdevelopment. The Forest Hills District,
which includes the western part of Austin Street, near Yellowstone
Boulevard, is currently zoned for automotive use. Proposals for the
district would limit the height of residential and commercial
development to 40 feet, or three stories, on the south side of Austin
Street and 70 feet, or six stories, on the north side.
