Atlantic Yards landscape architect quits

The landscape architect for the Atlantic Yards project,
Laurie Olin, has quit the project. Olin cited “the current economic
turmoil” as his reason for leaving, and said that such a large project must
“be realized over several economic cycles and must both be able to endure
as well as be flexible to change.” Olin’s firm, Olin Partners, has designed Bryant Park, Columbus Circle and Battery Park City. A spokesperson for Forest City Ratner said Olin has not left the project and is just on sabbatical.
