Crane safety experts are meeting in New York City today to discuss nationwide crane safety, including whether a new crane part tracking system implemented in the city this year could be applied throughout the country. Nine people were killed in crane collapses in Manhattan this year, and fatal crane accidents have also occurred in Florida, Texas, and Las Vegas.
