Ground to be broken tomorrow at Newark’s Richardson Building Lofts

Newark Mayor Cory Booker and other city officials will participate in a groundbreaking ceremony tomorrow for Newwork LLC’s Richardson Building Lofts. Twenty-percent of the 67-unit building at 50-60 Columbia Street will be reserved for affordable housing, and the rest will be rented at market rate. The project falls in line with a large-scale effort to make Newark’s downtown a more appealing, 24-hour locale and to attract people who may have been priced out of other markets. To help the city grow, Booker plans to focus on job creation in the alternative energy and logistics industries. TRD
