Hugh Jackman in contract for Perry Street unit

 
Actor Hugh Jackman is reportedly in contract to buy an 11,032-square-foot, Richard Meier-designed triplex apartment at 176 Perry Street, though the deal is still “tenuous,” a source told the New York Observer. The unit’s current owner is Bill Joy, co-founder of Sun Microsystems. The deal was for over $25 million, but still below the original $40 million asking price, which was reduced to $33 million in April. Joy paid $17.57 million for the unit in 2002.
