Retiree housing sees strong sales

Homes for the 55-and-older set — which usually start around $200,000
— in active adult communities are selling even in this economic
climate. In Westchester and New Jersey, developers reported home sales
and substantial attendance at grand openings in September and early
October. The Daily News looks at the amenities and prices at five of
these communities in the region.
