Bank bonuses may not be so bad

In the face of drab predictions earlier this year that investment bankers would see as much as a 70 percent drop in annual salary bonuses this December, new reports suggest that capital investment in such firms from the federal government will alleviate this drop. Revised figures predict a 40 percent drop in end-of-year bonuses at investment banks, with the typical managing director receiving $625,000, down from an average of $1.1 million last year.
