Brokers skeptical of Halstead move

New York investment sales brokers expressed doubt about Halstead Property’s ability to branch out into commercial real estate
during the current down market. Brokers said, however, that Halstead might have some success
in localized markets or with all-cash buyers. John Goldman, managing director
of Halstead’s new investment sales unit, said he is confident Halstead will succeed with its commercial venture.
