Celebrities make deals in South Florida

From the South Florida Web site: Bruce Springsteen bought a 6,000-square-foot home in Palm Beach County’s
Wellington for $4.6
million. Professional golfer Greg Norman cut the price of his estate,
at 382 South Beach Road
on Jupiter Island, by $17.5 million. The 8-acre
property, listed last year by the Corcoran Group for $65 million, is now on the
market for $47.5 million. Former Miami Heat player Alonzo Mourning wants to develop a
190-unit affordable housing rental complex for families and the elderly in
Overtown, a neighborhood in downtown Miami.
Mourning’s charitable organization, the Alonzo Mourning Charities, wants to
lease 5 acres of county-owned land for the development. Residents would need
to make 60 percent or less of the county’s adjusted median income. TRD
