Developers Boston Properties and the Related Companies are moving forward
with plans to build an office tower at 740 Eighth Avenue, between 45th and 46th streets, that could be as large as one million square feet. The developers bought out six property owners last year for $350 million and filed a request last month to transfer 120,319 square feet of land owned by the Shubert Organization to be part of the planned office building. The developers also asked for a permit to build a 406-space attended public parking lot on the site.
