The city’s budget cuts
will delay replacing the 110th Precinct building in Flushing
Meadows-Corona Park, Queens. The project, which would cost $4 million
in site acquisition funds and $6.4 million in design costs, has been
postponed to 2013 or 2014. A new site for the precinct has not been
determined,  but city officials were reportedly looking at a portion of
the New York Hall of Science’s Parking Lot On 111th Street, at the edge
of Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. The current precinct is on 43rd Avenue.
