Prosecutors are expected to announce manslaughter charges today in the deaths of two firefighters in the August 2007 fire at the Deutsche Bank building at 130 Liberty Street.
Three construction supervisors and a subcontractor are expected to be
charged. New York City will not be indicted, despite a 16-month
investigation that revealed the city’s failure to appropriately
safeguard the building.
