Chris Noth’s Cutting Room to close

“Sex and the City” actor Chris Noth’s club the Cutting Room will close on
January 13 due to a rent increase, according to a press release. The building’s landlord more than doubled the Flatiron District venue’s rent. Noth opened the Cutting Room, at 19 West 24th Street
between Broadway and Sixth Avenue, in 1999 with partner Steve Walter. It has a
main bar area and a performance space, where “Saturday Night Live” after-parties are sometimes held.
