Extell Development has filed plans with state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo’s office to build a commercial condominium at 44 West 47th Street, between Fifth and Sixth avenues. The 39-story building, called Diamond Tower, will have 900,000 square feet of diamond industry facilities, like showrooms and offices, and regular commercial units. Extell is reportedly selling the neighboring 30 West 47th Street to Jemco after buying the building last year for $50.1 million because it needed the air rights for the new Diamond Tower.
