The city bought the unit on December 4 from City Hall Commons of Mineola, LI, according to city records published yesterday. Mark Daly, a spokesperson for the city’s Department of Citywide Administrative Services, which manages city-owned property, did not immediately know what agency would occupy the space.

The 15-story building is broken into three commercial condos, two of which are now owned by the city. It bought its first condo, a 227,033-square-foot unit, in 1989. The third condo is a 31,235-square-foot retail space owned by City Hall Commons, city records showed.
