Former Marcus & Millichap broker starts investment sales firm: Moses Sioni, a former broker with Marcus & Millichap as well as Besen & Associates, and some colleagues formed the Manhattan-based investment sales firm, Sioni & Partners. The company concentrates on off-market, multifamily properties with values between $4 million and $100 million but also brokers office and retail product. The firm, which employs a total of 16 people, has offices in New York City as well as in Milan, Italy, where it will look for buyers for its New York listings. Brokers work in teams of at least three people, and junior members are paid a salary plus a bonus.

Ideal Properties Group launches iPhone Web site
: Ideal Properties Group has launched a Web site specifically for viewing on Apple’s iPhone. IPhone users will be automatically redirected to the Web site when they access the group’s regular site, www.idealpropertiesgroup.com. The iPhone site, onthego.idealpropertiesgroup.com, will allow people to search for residential rentals and sales, and commercial leasing properties in Downtown Brooklyn right from their hand.

Cayman Islands government moves to Empire State Building: The Government of the Cayman Islands is leaving its office at 3 Park Avenue, at 33rd Street, for a 4,520-square-foot space at the Empire State Building.
