290 Mulberry draws mixed reviews

Area residents and pedestrians have mixed feelings about 290 Mulberry,
a SHoP Architects-designed condominium at Mulberry and Houston
streets. Doris Diether, co-chair of Community Board 2’s landmarks
committee, said she thinks the architects may have stretched the
zoning regulations in designing the building. But Sean Sweeney, the
other co-chair of the community board’s landmarks committee, likes the
290 Mulberry facade.
