Brokers and developers say that attendance at open houses in the city has jumped in recent weeks and that many open house visitors seem to be serious buyers. Open houses at the 21-unit Fairchild in Tribeca have seen about 22 visitors in the last two weekends, compared to a dozen visitors per week since the sales office’s December opening. Traffic at 211 East 51st Street and at the Prime at 333 West 14th Street has also doubled, brokers said. The increased interest could be because of the arrival of spring or because there has been so much talk of price cuts, they said.
