Luxury furniture retailer Maurice Villency might close its flagship store at 200 East 57th Street at Third Avenue. The space is
26,100 square feet on two levels. The store’s lease runs until 2022 and
has an asking rent of $3.4 million per year. Robin Abrams and Alan
Victor, brokers at Lansco Corp., said that while Maurice Villency has
successful stores in Roslyn on Long Island and in Paramus, N.J., the
Manhattan store has declining street sales.
