Summer marketplace to open in Coney

In addition to Coney
Island’s replacement amusement park this summer, developer Thor
Equities plans to open a five-tent marketplace that will feature
hundreds of local artisans and food vendors, with live entertainment on
weekends. The developer said the “Festival by the Sea,” the combination of the rides and marketplace, will create 1,000 seasonal jobs.
