The Brooklyn-based rental
firm Rapid Realty NYC said it is focusing more on customer service
after reading negative reviews about the brokerage on Web sites like Curbed.com and Yelp.com. “Real estate has always been a cut-throat
industry in Brooklyn, and we got wrapped up in the competitiveness,”
Rapid Realty’s owner, Anthony Lolli, said in a statement. “But when I started to read
what customers were saying about our approach, I knew that we had to
make some changes.” Rapid Realty said in a statement that in order to better help customers, it
restructured its Web site to provide more information about rentals,
including explaining all the fees and giving potential renters more ways to contact the company. Rapid Realty said it is issuing “a statement of regret to apologize to customers that they may have burned
in the past.”
