The deal represents the first time in 60 years that the building, originally designed by Rosario Candela and Mott B. Schmidt, has offered this space for retail use. The space had been used for medical offices.

Editions de Parfums previously only sold its U.S. product line through Barney’s New York retail locations across the country.

Alan Victor, executive vice president at Lansco, represented the owner, 19 East 72nd Street Corp.

Rob Teitelbaum of Ron Teitelbaum Properties represented Editions de Parfums in the transaction.
