Openings and closings: Table 8 open, Uncle Marky’s Organics closed

Restaurant Menchanko Tei, on 55th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues, which was closed due to a fire at the beginning of the year, has reopened. The Table 8 restaurant in the Cooper Square Hotel is, as planned, slated to open today with a private party. Chair and table wholesaler Maxsun Furnishings, currently at 208 Bowery, is moving to the former home of 200 Supplies at 200 Bowery. The owners of the Florent space at 69 Gansevoort are hoping to open Gansevoort Cafe in the same location. A new dance and fitness studio, Resurgent Fitness, has opened on Sterling Place in Crown Heights. The Edge, in Williamsburg, is looking to rent out the development’s restaurant space by winter. The Brooklyn Flea, an outdoor market, will expand to a new location under the Brooklyn Bridge this summer.

Uncle Marky’s Organics, on 53rd Street between Second and Third avenues, has closed, though the owner is reportedly looking for another space in the neighborhood. M&W Meatpacking at 426 West 14th Street, the last freestanding butcher in the Meatpacking district, is closing this week, and Dean & DeLuca is reportedly moving into the space. TRD
