T.J. Maxx hunts for second Manhattan location

Discount clothing retailer T.J. Maxx is looking to open a second store in Manhattan, the New York Observer reported. T.J. Maxx currently has a location at 620 Avenue of the Americas and is reportedly interested in 250 West 57th Street for its new space. The building has more than 46,000 square feet of retail space in the basement and on the ground floor and first floor. It is across the street from the Hearst Tower, where Anthropologie is rumored to be working on a ground-floor retail deal.
