Tenants in a housing development in Bedford-Stuyvesant say they have not had hot water for eight months and have been ignored by city officials when they asked that the problem be fixed, the New York Daily News reported. The tenants of Kingsborough Houses, at 708 Seventh Walk, said they have been waking up at 4 a.m. since the hot water disappeared in February to boil water for baths. They said no one from the Housing Authority has come to examine their pipes. Housing Authority guidelines say that lack of hot water is an emergency that needs to be fixed immediately.
