The State Senate announced yesterday that it has allotted $15 million for two green redevelopment projects at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in Fort Greene. The projects include a proposed 220,000-square-foot green manufacturing center as well as a visitor center. The 18-month construction will begin in 2010, with the visitor center opening scheduled for mid-2011.
