Tennis might not be reserved for the summer months for one Williamsburg community, where residents are considering a renovating the McCarren Park Tennis Courts and installing a bubble that would allow for year-round play. Although the proposal, which includes the possible installation of a private restaurant at the field house, hasn’t been approved by city officials yet, private companies like the Bronx-based Riverdale Tennis Company are already vying for the project. Early estimates suggest that the total development could cost millions of dollars, although a concrete figure hasn’t yet been made available.
