New York licensed 1,409 new real estate brokers and agents in March, a nearly 60 percent jump over the 892 brokers and agents that received licenses in March 2009, the state’s Division of Licensing Services announced yesterday. The first quarter saw 3,261 new real estate licensees, up 27.6 percent from the 2,555 licensed during the same three months last year. The data is a sign that the real estate industry “is poised to bounce back in New York,” said Secretary of State Lorraine Cortés-Vázquez. TRD
