The city has granted the West Village’s famed Jane Hotel Ballroom the permits necessary to reopen, according to the New York Times. The bi-level bar was shuttered in October after noise complaints from neighbors led to the discovery that it lacked a “place of assembly” permit. While the Jane Ballroom has since been off-limits, the narrow bar off the hotel lobby has remained open. The owner is planning to make the first ballroom party private in response to the neighborhood complaints. [NYT]
