Times Square bomb suspect also a Connecticut foreclosure victim

The two-story, Shelton, Conn. home of Faisal Shahzad, who was arrested in John F. Kennedy International Airport Monday after an alleged failed attempt to car bomb Times Square, is in foreclosure, the Associated Press reported. Court records show that Shahzad defaulted on a $200,000 mortgage taken out in 2004 and that Chase Home Finance sued him in September. The case is pending. Neighbors called Shahzad a “little bit strange.” Brenda Thurman said Shahzad had told her husband he worked on Wall Street, while another neighbor, Audrey Sokol, said she thought he worked in nearby Norwalk. Shahzad reportedly lived in the house with his wife and two small children until last year. [AP via NBC]
