After losing their top sales team to competing firm Jones Lang LaSalle yesterday, Cushman & Wakefield is taking investment sales broker Andrew Merin out of the suburbs and into the city, according to Crain’s. Merin, a vice chairman who works mostly in the suburban tri-state region, will not be ditching his main turf but, rather, “will add Manhattan to [his] existing territory,” Frank Liantonio, an executive vice president with the company, said. While some industry insiders doubt that Merin’s out-of-city acumen will translate in the Big Apple, Liantonio said that the company has high hopes. [Crain’s]
