Filmmaker Paul Haggis buys new crash pad

Paul Haggis, the award-winning filmmaker who wrote “Million Dollar
Baby” and “Crash,” has paid $3.95 million for Blackstone CFO Laurence
Tosi’s two-bedroom apartment at 388 West Broadway, the Observer
reported. The Soho loft, which was listed by Michael Chapman of
Stribling & Associates, has a fireplace, mahogany-framed windows
and 11-foot ceilings. Haggis, who is based in Santa Monica, Calif. and
is married to actress Deborah Rennard, also owns a penthouse loft at
169 Mercer Street, which he bought in 2006 for $2.9 million. [NYO]
