Lacoste renews lease, expands at 551 Madison

Designer clothing company Lacoste has made an early renewal of its
35,000-square-foot lease at 551 Madison Avenue. Under the terms of the
lease, which is set to expire in 2014, the retailer will expand upon
its current 32,000 square feet to occupy a portion of the 13th floor
and all of floors 14 through 17, including an outdoor terrace.
Previously they occupied floors 13 through 15. Cushman & Wakefield
— the exclusive leasing agent for the building — represented Lacoste
in the transaction. In addition to Lacoste, major tenants in the Class
A office building, at the northeast corner of 55th Street, include
Union Bank North America, Golub Capital and Milestone Venture Partners.
The building is owned and managed by LaSalle Investment Management. TRD
