The Zeckendorf brothers, who last month closed on a deal to buy the former Salvation Army building at 18 Gramercy Park South, are planning a $14.4 million luxury apartment conversion for the vacant property, according to the Post. William and Arthur Zeckendorf have teamed up with partner Eyal Ofer and Robert A.M. Stern — the starchitect that worked with them on their successful 15 Central Park West — to create 15 full-floor condos of over 4,500 square feet each, and two duplexes. Each apartment will come with its own key to the exclusive Gramercy Park. Plans for the renovation of the former women’s hotel have been filed and approved with the city by John Schimenti, who also designed the residential building at 150 East 57th Street. [Post]
