After months of anticipation, The Gansevoort Park Avenue hotel at 420 Park Avenue South has received its Temporary Certificate of Occupancy from the Department of Buildings (see document below).

Jeffrey Levine, chairman of Douglaston Development, was excited to tell The Real Deal last night that the certificate had gone through earlier in the day.

At the moment, the hotel has not received the TCO for its rooftop space, which has an indoor/outdoor pool and tri-level bar. A Gansevoort Park official told The Real Deal that he will not open the hotel until the rooftop has received its TCO, as well.

The TCO is expected “in the next couple of days,” the official said, adding that they plan for a soft opening following the approval.
