The Birdbath Cafe has officially opened at the New Museum on the Lower East Side, featuring “seasonal, locally grown, organic food.” The cafe, located on the ground floor of the museum at 235 Bowery at the corner of Prince Street, was created by Maury Rubin, the baker best known for his work with 20-year-old City Bakery. “We’re thrilled to be a part of the New Museum,” Rubin said. “The museum is a mighty big planet in how we see the galaxy of downtown New York, and so much of who we are, who we do business with… is reinforced by this connection.” TRD
