The board at Queens’ 24-unit Village View Condos has just lost a three-year, $100,000 effort to evict a three-and-a-half-pound teacup Yorkie named Charlie, according to the Post. After 52-year-old mail carrier Donna Forman was denied permission to bring home a dog, she did so anyway, prompting the board to sue. But last week, an appellate court declared the no-pets rule unjust, since the unit owners never approved it. Meanwhile, the owners didn’t have to approve the nearly $4,200 each in legal fees the board spent trying to oust the pup. [NYT] and [Post]
