Real estate investor and Allied Partners CEO Eric Hadar is in talks to hire starchitect Norman Foster to design a new tower adjacent to Bryant Park, according to the New York Post. Hadar, who recently completed a stint in rehab following a drug possession arrest, owns numerous properties surrounding Bryant Park, sources say, which leaves open options for the new building. Hadar has reportedly considered a development of up to 300,000 square feet in size at the 50 West 40th Street site. Beyond this project, Hadar has his hands full in the residential world: his 49th-floor condo at 200 East 65th Street hit the market two months ago with a $26.5 million asking price. [Post, 4th item]
