Law firm Gonzalez, Saggio and Harlan — the largest minority-owned firm in the country — has ditched the Empire State Building for the 19th floor of 292 Madison Avenue, according to the Observer. The Empire State Building space was too small for the lawyers, said broker Frederick Kane Mare of the Vortex Group, which represented them in their search. The 6,035-square-foot space, on the corner of 41st Street, will be theirs for at least the next five years. The landlord is Metropolitan Realty Partners, which controls the building through a ground lease. Asking rents in the Grand Central submarket are in the low $60-per-square-foot range, the Observer reported. [NYO]
