This Upper West Side woman has been living in a kitchenless 90-square-foot studio for the past three years, paying just over $700 per month for the privilege of calling Manhattan her home. Felice Cohen says her dad was a bankruptcy attorney who taught her not to live above her means (she works as a writer and artist), and claims to actually enjoy the Walden-like confined space, despite the brief panic attack she had during her first-ever night in the apartment. It helps that she is a self-proclaimed “professional organizer” and that she doesn’t mind storing bananas in her toaster oven. Take a tour of her humble abode via the Faircompanies video above.
