Manhattan architect tumbles to his death from Meatpacking window

Manhattan architect Danny Colvin has died after falling out the window of his second-floor Meatpacking District apartment yesterday morning, according to the Daily News. Colvin, 51, was the founding principal of ColvinDESIGN, an architecture and interior design firm. According to the firm’s website, recent projects had included a gut renovation of “That 70s Show” actress Debra Jo Rupp’s Manhattan pied-a-terre, apartment renovations in Greenwich Village and the Flatiron District, and the design of a double flying trapeze ring in Reading, Mass. Police said Colvin’s death is under investigation, but that they believe it was an accident as there was no suicide note, and it’s unlikely he would have jumped out of a second-story window if he had intended to kill himself.
