For a second consecutive year, Richard Orenstein took home the top prize at Halstead Property’s annual awards ceremony held last week. Halstead President Diane Ramirez, David Burris and William Lie Zeckendorf, co-chairmen of Halstead’s parent company Terra Holdings, were on hand to speak and present awards.

The firm named Orenstein its 2011 Top Broker of the Year among agents in New York and New Jersey.

Other notable award winners were Jay Overbye, for most sales deals closed in development marketing, Senad Ahmetovic, for most rental deals closed (an award he also earned last year), and Brian Lewis, who works out of the West Side office, for most sales deals closed and New York and New Jersey’s listing broker of the year.

Top broker awards were also doled out to at least one member from each of the firm’s 21 tri-state offices. Finally, firm founder Clark Halstead won the inaugural Legacy Award and Sarah Williams, a broker out of the Village office, was named rookie of the year. — Adam Fusfeld
