The law firm Akerman Senterfitt will lease nearly 50,000 square feet of space at Kushner Companies’ 666 Fifth Avenue, the New York Post reported. The firm will take the 19th and 20th floors of the building, previously occupied by the law firm Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe The space needs an “aesthetic facelift,” sources told the Post.

When 666 Fifth Avenue was sold to Kushner for $1.8 billion in 2007, the sale marked the highest price paid for a New York City office building.

Tom Costanzo, Jared Solomon and Glen Weiss represented Vornado,  which provided Kushner with a $80 million capital infusion to take a 49.5 percent stake in the asset last year. Sources told the Post that rents in the building are in the mid-$80s per foot. [Post]
