The Dey Street concourse, which will connect the Fulton Center complex stop at Broadway and the Cortland Street station at the edge of the World Trade Center site, is nearly complete. But it won’t open — until at least 2015.

The concourse, will stay closed until the new World Trade Center and traffic-heavy PATH connection are completed.

The $200 million connection concourse was slated to open in November, but the New York Daily News reports that fears of the homeless overtaking the space will keep it shuttered for at least two years.

According to an MTA analysis, the transfer would service just give people an hour if it opened this fall as planned. [NYDN] — Jane C. Timm
