A Fort Greene, Brooklyn townhouse has hit the market with a lofty price tag of $10 million, the New York Times reported. The sale would break the current record sales price in the neighborhood — $3.28 million– if it sold anywhere near the ask, according to numbers from Streeteasy.com.

The combination home and studio space, currently owned by artist David Salle, would be great for a buyer otherwise looking in Tribeca, who wants “a more neighborhood feel,” the listing broker told the Times.

“It’s a one-of-a-kind property,” Patty LaRocco, a senior vice president at Town Residential, who is handling the listing with her colleague Terry Naini, told the Times. “We’re asking just under $1,000 a square foot because it’s so beautiful and would be so expensive to build from the ground up.”

The property is a a four-story townhouse that the Times said is “seamlessly joined” to a three-story red-brick and terra-cotta building next door. The 10,560-square-foot combo offers four bedrooms, three terraces, a gym and a private garage, the Times said. [NYT] — Guelda Voien
